Our story starts 15 years ago with the yearning to bring the culinary tradition of our homeland to London. In 2004, we opened our first restaurant “Buen Ayre” in East London’s foodie hotspot, Broadway market. Our unique flavours were a hit with Londoners and food critics alike, with rave reviews from Fay Maschler, Charles Campion and Guy Dimond and others. Since then we have put our heart and soul into growing our family restaurant chain which now includes 'Santa Maria del Sur', 'Casa Malevo' and 'Abasto', each with their own distinctive personality and each highly regarded.
At Abasto, we are not only passionate about the quality of our food and wine, but the total experience. Eating together is a way of life in Argentina. Argentine people have a reputation for their love of food - getting together with friends, relaxing, opening a bottle of wine and cooking a meal.
